Anyone who has used the Google search engine over the years, surely must have noticed a “Google Doodle,” (a creative Google logo that changes to reflect holidays, pioneers, or celebrations).
According to Google’s information page about doodles, their creative team has produced more than 2,000, spotlighting anniversaries, special events, and people who have had an impact on our society.
With Google now processing on average over 40,000 search queries every second, or more than 3.5 billion searches per day and 1.2 trillion searches per year worldwide (according to http://www.internetlivestats.com/ google-search-statistics/), one thing is for sure: There are a lot of people who visit Google on a regular basis.
ISAR is seeking support from our supporters and friends to request that Google create a doodle for International Homeless Animals’ Day 2015 to help promote spay/neuter and adoption practices. Simply email Google at firstname.lastname@example.org or tweet to them @GoogleDoodles on Twitter before Saturday, August 15, 2015 that you would like to see a doodle for International Homeless Animals’ Day.
